Dream Chip shows LED Flicker reduction demo at electronica in Munich

Dream Chip has developed a LED flicker mitigation solution available for camera monitor systems (CMS), such as the emerging mirror replacement cameras or surround view applications. This solution addresses the problem of annoying flickering effects on the monitor when pulsed LEDs lights are captured by a digital camera.

The Dream Chip algorithm detects and reduces the flickering of LED lights across a range of pulse-width modulation (PWM) frequencies, even if different frequencies are present from different light sources and moving objects. 

"We were able to implement our solution cost-efficiently and with a short time-to-market on TI’s TDAx platform for CMS", said Young-Hun Kluge, VP Sales of Dream Chip.

A demo of Dream Chip’s flicker reduction algorithm can be viewed on TI’s EvoCar at Electronica, Hall A4 Booth 219.
