Dream Chip Technologies (DCT) announces that its project, DreamCloud, has been selected for funding by the Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU). The project will utilize the EuroCDP (European Chips Design Platform) to accelerate its development of next-generation semiconductor solutions. DreamCloud forms DCT’s Design Enablement Team (DET) and becomes part of Europ’s IC design ecosystem.
DreamCloud is a scalable, remotely accessible IC design platform offering high-performance computing resources for multiple project teams, with strict data separation and secure, Germany-based storage. Built on DCT’s ISO-certified design environment, the platform combines advanced processing power for modern technology nodes with DCT’s deep design expertise. It integrates professional and emerging open-source tools to lower entry barriers, particularly for startups and smaller companies facing high software and technology costs.
Through the DET, DCT’s experienced IC designers support users from project inception through tape-out and validation - helping select the right technologies and EDA tools, defining cost-efficient strategies, and ensuring robust front-end to back-end execution. DreamCloud reduces risk, shortens development cycles, and protects intellectual property.
With 130 employees and a strong track record in customer and publicly funded projects, DCT aims to enhance Europe’s technological resilience and contribute to the EU’s strategic autonomy in semiconductors.
